First Official Board Meeting

After months of research and planning, the Mitchell and Friends Board had its first official meeting on August 26, 2021. In attendance were founding officers Matt and Michele Herndon (President and Vice President, respectively), Pam Macon (Treasurer), and John Krabbe (Secretary). Also in attendance was Miranda Herndon, who had prepared sugar cookies for the meeting.

Matt updated the Board on the legal status of the organization, reviewed the approved bylaws of the organization, and discussed next steps to take towards achieving our goal of raising awareness of Mitchell Syndrome and supporting families and children who receive this diagnosis. Future steps include continuing to organize, completing the Mitchell and Friends website, connecting with other families, and deciding on a fundraising and support strategy.

The meeting concluded with prayer and assignments given.
